The Operas of Purcell
Sydney-born bass, Jack Stephens, Director of Music at St Paul's College, spoke on the Operas of Henry Purcell with a focus on Dido and Aeneas, the forthcoming Pinchgut Opera production, on Monday 20 May. Jack is currently studying a Doctorate at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, supervised by Dr Erin Helyard, looking at Regietheater and its application to the staging of Bach's Passions and Cantatas.
