Lully on Opera

Italian-born French composer, Jean-Baptiste Lully wrote a number of operas - his most celebrated works include Alceste, Armide and Atys, the favourite opera of King Louis XIV. 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Presenter Andrew Dziedzic presented on the topic: “Lully on Opera” on Monday 19 August. The talk was well-received and it was agreed that Lully's life was fascinating and his music sublime.
