Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia

Dr Hannah Mondry, musicologist and lecturer, discussed the symbiotic relationship between composer and prima donna using Donizetti and Joan Sutherland as the example as it pertains to his opera Lucrezia Borgia. Clips were used from the 1977 Australian opera production at the Opera House and starred Sutherland, Margreta Elkins and Ron Stevens.
